56WGT4 is a 3/4" NPS Tri-Sure® Plastiplug™ plastic drum plug with a EPDM gasket compatible with the Push-Lock™ tamper evident closure. This all-plastic drum plug is designed for sealing industrial plastic barrels, plastic drums, plastic pails, fiber drums and more preventing dirt ingression and protecting against pilferage. With no metal parts, this drum plug has no sharp edges and will not rust. Plastiplug™ threaded plastic plugs are manufactured from polypropylene (PP) plastic and provide superior versatility for use with all opening styles produced by plastic barrel, drum, and pail manufacturers as well as IBC producers.

This drum plug can be retrofitted into any plastic drum cover. Plastiplug™ plastic plugs have an excellent finish, dimensional consistency, and sealing performance. This Push-Lock compatible drum plug has a retention lip on the outside diameter for the cap to grip onto. When paired with the Push-Lock™ cap, this closure system is tamper evident and provides protection against substitution of the drum's contents.

Material:

Polypropylene PlasticPolypropylene (PP) is a tough plastic that has good chemical resistance. PP is translucent in its natural state but can have a glossy finish when produced with color. Some examples of common products made with PP are dairy and medication containers. Polypropylene is suitable for hot fill applications of up to 165°F and is therefore great for autoclaving. It is not recommended for cold or sub-freezing temperatures. The Cary Company has an assortment of polypropylene plastics available for purchase, such as plastic caps and jars, which have a higher tolerance for chemical products.
