Polyethylene (PE) is the most commonly produced and used plastic polymer in the world. PE has good chemical resistance and is typically translucent and waxy in nature. We have various products made of polyethylene, from buttress screw caps with Flexspout to spill decks. PE bottles have a maximum hot fill temperature of 120°F.

There description says there is gasket on this drum, but will they hold liquid or prevent liquid from getting inside? Can I get these with a gasket?
Thank you for your question. This drum can hold liquid and will prevent liquid from entering, but we cannot guarantee this. Gaskets are available for this drum, however, there is a relatively high minimum order quantity requirement. Is this drum rated for a couple of hours storage for diesel? I need to remove the fuel from a tank, clean the fuel and return it to the tank.

Can this plastic drum be used as an exterior sump pump basin? How thick is the wall of the barrel? I wonder if it's strong enough. It's tall enough for what I need but I worry this may collapse when I back fill around it with gravel and soil.
